Despite the length of this hole, it is rarely driven regardless of weather conditions. The reason is the drive up ‘Cardiac Hill’, where most players are only too happy to see their drives reach the top.
The approach must be played with care, as a hooked shot will see the ball disappear out of bounds into the quarry, while if left short there is no chance of the ball running onto the green.
